Job Purpose: Team Member - Custom Liaison facilitates smooth coordination with customs authorities, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting various departments within the organization. This role is responsible for container seal verification, assisting with customs-related approvals, and ensuring seamless cargo clearance processes. Additionally, they provide IT support, manage relationships with external stakeholders, and ensure essential facilities for customs officers are in place.

Customs Liaison:

Serve as the primary contact with Customs authorities, addressing issues related to ABC Group companies, and ensuring seamless coordination.

Seal Verification:

Ensure every export container seal is verified at designated gates as per customs requirements, managing compliance with seal provider registrations.

Cargo Examination & Clearance:

Support superiors in managing long-standing cargo, coordinating timely examination, sampling, and filing of Bill of Entry (BOE) after receiving customs approvals.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare and submit monthly reports related to customs activities, providing valuable insights for operational improvements.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with Cargo Handling Regulations and provide facilitation for customs officers and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management:

Assist CHAs, importers, exporters, and shipping agents with various clearance processes, ensuring smooth transactions and adherence to customs protocols.

EDI, Icegate, & IT Support:

Provide IT and EDI service support to customs authorities, resolving issues with Icegate and other technical platforms.

Strategic Permissions & Approvals:

Assist superiors in securing necessary permissions from customs for bonded warehouses, tank notifications, and other regulatory approvals.
