Job Description

Delivering accurate and timely credit MIS and analytics, this role ensures the business has access to actionable insights that support informed risk decisions and portfolio monitoring. By following established procedures and leveraging data tools, the role identifies and resolves routine reporting issues, escalating exceptions to management as appropriate. Outputs produced directly enable the risk management team to meet regulatory and internal standards, supporting the broader objectives of the Group Risk function. Communication is focused within the immediate team and direct stakeholders, facilitating smooth data flow and issue resolution while maintaining data integrity and compliance.

Requires minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk MIS or analytics within banking or financial services, with exposure to core banking systems and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly credit MIS reports using approved templates and data sources to ensure portfolio transparency.
  • Validate data integrity by cross-referencing source systems and resolving discrepancies before report submission.
  • Coordinate with business units to clarify data anomalies and ensure completeness of reporting inputs.
  • Escalate unresolved data quality issues to management for timely intervention.

Performance Measures:

  • Accuracy of MIS reports as validated by internal audit or management review
  • Timeliness of report delivery to stakeholders
  • Stakeholder feedback on usefulness and clarity of portfolio monitoring outputs
  1. Data-driven decision support for risk management teams
  • Extract and prepare datasets for ad hoc analysis requests from risk and collections teams.
  • Utilise data visualisation tools to present trends and exceptions in credit performance.
  • Respond to queries from internal stakeholders regarding data definitions, sources, and interpretations.
  • Document and maintain procedures for recurring analytics tasks to support knowledge transfer and consistency.

Performance Measures:

  • Quality of data extracts and visualisations in supporting business queries
  • Responsiveness to ad hoc analysis requests
  • Consistency and completeness of analytics process documentation
  1. Data integrity and compliance with regulatory reporting standards
  • Adhere to internal controls and regulatory guidelines when preparing credit-related data for regulatory submissions.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure data privacy and confidentiality in line with bank policy and MAS/EU regulations.
  • Support periodic audits by providing requested data extracts and process documentation.
  • Identify and flag potential data breaches or compliance gaps to the manager for escalation.

  • Absence of regulatory findings related to credit MIS data quality
  • Audit feedback on completeness and accuracy of data provided
  • Compliance with data privacy and confidentiality protocols
  1. Continuous improvement of MIS and analytics processes
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting tasks using available tools and scripts.
  • Contribute suggestions for enhancing report formats or analytics methodologies based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Participate in team discussions to review and update standard operating procedures for MIS processes.
  • Support the implementation of new data tools or upgrades by testing outputs and reporting issues.

Performance Measures:

  • Adoption of automation or process improvements in MIS activities
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with enhancements to reporting and analytics
  • Effectiveness of contributions to team process reviews and tool implementation
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • Relevant certifications in data analytics or risk management (preferred)
  • Ongoing professional development in banking regulations and data management
