Job Description

Statement:

The Assistant Manager, Corporate Real Estate (CRE) provides leadership for facilities operations, space management, and building services across assigned locations. This role combines strategic and operational planning to plan an and maintain workplace environments that support IDA’s mission and business needs. This role requires expertise in facilities management, team leadership, budget administration, and vendor relations to ensure efficient, compliant, and employee-focused workspaces.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work in tandem with Sr. Manager – Corporate Real Estate, to analyze and monitor IDA’s real estate portfolio, identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, service level improvement, consolidation, or expansion.
  • Assist with financial modelling and collaborate on the creation of business cases to drive IDA’s real estate strategy
  • Coordination of budget preparation, monitoring spends against budget
  • Monitoring of service partner performance, undertaking trend analysis and identifying opportunities for process and service improvements
  • Coordinate market research in key regions working closely with service partners to assess trends, benchmarks, and positioning in key real estate markets.
  • Assist in the development of real estate options analysis, including the evaluation of current and potential sites and properties, providing recommendations on location, cost, and technical mission suitability.
  • Maintain up to date records and reports for use in engaging with our internal clients, service partners and functional support partners.
  • Prepare and coordinate reports and dashboards for presentation to key executive stakeholders
  • Oversee the maintenance and updating of guides and process documents for all facility functions
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in engineering, business, or other relevant fields of study or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Masters degree or industry specific credential is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of increasingly responsible work experience managing facilities, building development, and maintenance; corporate real estate management; commercial property management; program management; or other relatated management disciplines.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate to develop and execute a facilities organization budget, including facilities capital forecasting and management
  • Experience in contract management strongly desired; ability to review relevant legal and contractual documents in areas of responsibility; interacts, as needed, with counsel.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and evaluate a variety of facts, opinions, data and regulations to compile various reports, analyze alternatives, and make recommendations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff and management and to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
  • Experience in automating/re-engineering office procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.

Compensation

We support transparency, equity, and fairness in our compensation program and provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range based on data-driven market analysis for each position. While it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $110,397 - $176,635. Individual salary within this range will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, unique skills and qualifications, and other relevant factors.
