Assistant Manager Coffee Shop – Islington

£32,000 + Tips (£2–3K) | Immediate Start

The Opportunity

This is a development role within a busy, high-volume coffee shop. You will act as the second-in-command, supporting the Manager in rebuilding the team and improving standards.

The Site

• 60–70 covers across multiple floors + garden
• Fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Team of ~10
• Currently undergoing a rebuild and reset

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in daily operations
• Lead shifts and manage the floor
• Step up to run the site in the Manager’s absence
• Train and support team members
• Maintain strong service and coffee standards
• Assist with rotas and general operations

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years in a supervisory or junior management role
• Experience in café or coffee environments preferred
• Ambitious and ready to progress into management
• Reliable, proactive, and hands-on
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Aligned with a business that combines commercial performance with social purpose
