Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

The Assistant Manager, Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for supporting the management, monitoring, and daily operations of the Authority’s hybrid system infrastructure, multi-cloud platforms and data center operations. The role assists in supervising managed service providers, technology partners and internal support resources to ensure the secure, reliable and efficient operation of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure services.

Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure and Cloud Operations Support

  • Monitor and support day-to-day hybrid system infrastructure operations, including enterprise servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and routine backup/disaster recovery processes.

  • Assist in cloud platform operations across the Authority’s multi-cloud environment (Alibaba Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and AWS), ensuring operational stability and adherence to established cloud governance.

  • Provide technical inputs and operational support for digital transformation projects, infrastructure enhancements, and cloud-native adoption tasks.

2. Vendor Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate and review the performance of managed service providers, database vendors, and external technology partners to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Act as a key liaison point between cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to maintain high service availability, organize scheduled maintenance, and facilitate incident resolution.

3. IT Procurement & Administration Support

  • Support IT procurement activities by providing technical inputs, drafting and consolidating technical requirement specifications, cost estimates, and other supporting materials under the guidance of the responsible manager.

  • Assist in contract administration, asset tracking, and routine vendor review activities to support effective IT lifecycle management.

4. Business Alignment & Security Compliance

  • Collaborate with business departments to gather technical requirements, assist in evaluating operational impacts, and help translate business needs into practical infrastructure setups.

  • Align routine infrastructure support activities with the Authority’s IT security policies and regulatory compliance guidelines.

5. Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Authority from time to time.

You should:

  • possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline;

  • have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in enterprise IT infrastructure support, system administration, data center operations, or cloud administration;

  • have hands-on experience in coordinating and working with third-party vendors, managed service providers, and outsourced support resources;

  • have solid technical knowledge of enterprise server platforms, virtualization technologies, storage solutions, backup tools, and hybrid-cloud environments;

  • have practical understanding of infrastructure operations, IT service management best practices (ITIL), and standard operational governance;

  • have experience in IT procurement processes, contract administration, and project documentation is an advantage;

  • have professional certifications such as Alibaba Cloud ACP/ACA, Microsoft Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, or ITIL Foundation are preferred;

  • have strong analytical, technical documentation and problem-solving skills;

  • have good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; and

  • have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

About West Kowloon Cultural District Authority

Stretching across 40 hectares of reclaimed land, WestK is one of the largest cultural projects in the world, blending art, education and open space.

Its vision is to create a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong where the local arts scene can interact, develop and collaborate. Providing 23 hectares of public open space with two kilometres of vibrant harbour-front promenade it will also include a variety of arts and cultural facilities that will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and arts and cultural events.

A Development Plan for the District, based on well-received Foster + Partner’s Conceptual Plan, was approved by the Chief Executive-in-Council in January 2013. Overlooking the magnificent Victoria Harbour, the District will begin to take shape over the next decade.

By developing this sizable project in phases we can start to bring the district to life. The Xiqu Centre, Freespace, Art Park, M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum and Lyric Theatre Complex, will be developed as a first batch of facilities aiming for opening to the public.
