Job Description

Manages Table Games and Slot Operations on an assigned shift, placing special emphasis on guest service, security of assets, positive employee motivation, and coaching. Functions in relief of Table Games Manager as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Positive attitude and interactions with guests and teammates.
  • Responsible for managing the operations of table games on an assigned shift. Acts as the manager on duty in absence of the Table Games manager.
  • Works closely with and supports property departments to achieve guest satisfaction and smooth operation of business.
  • Approves slot jackpots and functions as slot manager in the absence of Casino Operations Manager or Assistant Manager Slots.
  • Oversees and/or directs activity of Table Games teammates.
  • Coaches and develops teammates and conducts regular one on ones with direct reports.
  • Responsible for observing and anticipating business levels and making decisions regarding table spread, opening/closing pits, yielding table limits.
  • Displays a working knowledge of all slots and table games procedures, house rules, jackpot payment procedures, card counting methods.
  • Approves TTOs for credit customers.
  • Ensures that all table games gaming equipment is operational, as to not disrupt normal business. Takes action to prevent or remedy disruptions.
  • Exhibits sound decision-making qualities, motivates teammates, practices effective leadership skills.
  • Settles disputes that arise from guests in the Table Games area, referring those that are very difficult to the Table Games Manager, or Director of Table Games.
  • Ensures guest development by 1) providing Family Style Service 2) making Comp decisions, 3) resolving guest issues using approved resources 4) accurately rating play.
  • Interacts with support departments to facilitate casino, hotel, food, beverage, and slot performance/maintenance services as needed.
  • Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any Slot or Table Games employee or gaming guests and reports any situations to Table Games Manager.
  • Observes interactions between teammates and gaming guests and assists, if necessary.
  • Counsels, guides, coaches, and instructs assigned direct reports in the proper performance of their duties.
  • Assigned to development, training, and evaluation of direct reports and team.
  • Recommends performance ratings, prepares and conducts Performance Reviews.
  • Recommends change in department including best practices for training, operational efficiencies, customer service, hiring, promotion, and termination.
  • Assists in interviewing, auditioning, and selecting teammates.
  • Plans, communicates, and implements initiatives for improvement as assigned.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

  • Provides for safety and security.

  • Supports a positive culture by addressing teammate concerns and giving recognition.

  • Recommends and prepares written disciplinary action.

  • Remains knowledgeable of current property promotions and can lead team huddle.

  • Complete knowledge of Table Games manual and procedures.

  • Displays working knowledge of table games software and Microsoft Office and can make accurate computer entries.

  • Complies with Title 31 and AML requirements.

  • Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.

  • Five years casino experience required, preferably in slots, pit and/or poker operation.

  • Knowledge of casino rules, gaming/AML regulations and procedures pertinent to Slots and Pit operations is preferred.

  • Must possess excellent customer relations, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Must be able to plan and direct projects.

  • Three years leadership experience.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays.

  • Must be able to get along with teammates and work as a team.

  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Depending on experience, pay starts at $72,000 annually
