Assistant Manager – Campaign Execution & Vehicle Quality Control (VQC) in the European Automotive Safety Office (EASO) – Safety Managementteamat the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
Job Mission:
As an Assistant Manager – Campaign Execution & Vehicle Quality Control (VQC), you will play a key role within the European Automotive Safety Office (EASO), ensuring the successful execution of Safety & Quality actions across Europe. You will be responsible for coordinating the creation and release of Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), supporting campaign execution through effective parts coordination, managing customer requests in a customer-centric manner, and driving Customer Experience (CX/UX) initiatives.
Working closely with Engineering, Vehicle Quality, Technical Investigation, Customer Experience, Markets, MOBIS, Headquarters, suppliers, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that every approved remedy is implemented efficiently and reaches customers as quickly as possible. You will contribute directly to Kia's mission of delivering Uncompromising Safety & Quality, protecting customers while continuously improving their overall ownership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)
Coordinate the creation, review, approval, and release of Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) across Europe.
Ensure all TSBs are technically accurate, complete, and aligned with Safety & Quality requirements.
Act as the central coordinator between Engineering, Technical Service, Headquarters, and European markets during TSB development.
Ensure timely publication and communication of TSBs through the relevant systems.
Continuously improve and standardize TSB quality, content, and authoring processes.
Support technical documentation required for Safety & Quality campaigns.
Campaign Execution Support
Support the execution of Safety & Quality campaigns, including recalls, service campaigns, port actions, and workshop campaigns.
Coordinate campaign readiness by ensuring parts availability before campaign launch.
Work closely with MOBIS, Supply Chain, factories, suppliers, and Headquarters to monitor and secure parts supply.
Identify potential supply constraints and coordinate mitigation actions.
Support campaign implementation across European markets.
Monitor campaign completion rates and support initiatives to improve campaign performance and customer participation.
Prepare campaign status reports and execution KPIs.
Port Action Management (VQC)
Coordinate and steer all Safety & Quality-related port actions across European ports.
Ensure seamless planning, execution, and completion of port actions in close collaboration with European ports, Logistics, Vehicle Distribution, Engineering, and Headquarters.
Monitor port action progress, identify execution risks, and proactively implement mitigation measures to avoid delays.
Ensure required parts, technical documentation, and repair instructions are available before port action commencement.
Track completion rates and provide regular status updates to ensure timely vehicle release and market readiness.
Drive continuous improvements to port action processes to maximize execution efficiency and minimize customer impact.
Customer Support & Customer Experience
Act as the interface between EASO and Customer Experience functions to ensure technical remedies are implemented with the customer in mind.
Manage incoming customer requests related to Safety & Quality in a customer-centric manner by coordinating with the relevant stakeholders and ensuring timely, transparent, and professional communication.
Support the investigation and resolution of complex customer cases in collaboration with markets and headquarters.
Develop customer-focused communication related to Technical Service Bulletins and Safety & Quality campaigns.
Monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the customer journey.
Support initiatives that strengthen customer trust, transparency, and satisfaction.
Promote continuous improvements to the overall customer experience by incorporating market and customer feedback into future processes.
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as the central interface between EASO, European markets, factories, MOBIS, Engineering, Technical Service, Vehicle Quality, Customer Experience, suppliers, and Headquarters.
Ensure transparent communication regarding campaign readiness, customer issues, TSB status, and implementation progress.
Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure timely execution of Safety & Quality actions.
Build and maintain strong relationships across regional and global organizations.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Continuously optimize Technical Authoring, campaign execution support, and customer support processes.
Support automation and digitalization initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Prepare management reports, KPIs, and performance analyses.
Contribute to the continuous development of EASO Safety Management standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience in Technical Service, Aftersales, Product Quality, Customer Experience, Campaign Management, or a comparable automotive function.
Good technical understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes.
Experience with Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), recalls, service campaigns, or field actions is an advantage.
Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
High customer orientation and commitment to Safety & Quality.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the automotive industry in Technical Service, Customer Experience, or Field Quality.
Knowledge of automotive regulations and Safety & Quality processes.
Experience with SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or comparable reporting tools.
Experience working within an international matrix organization.
