Job title: Assistant Manager Business Excellence

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Role Reports to Channel Group Manager

Location: Bavla, Ahmedabad (On Rajkot Road)

Working: Alternate Saturday Off

Purpose of the role:

To drive Businesses Excellence & SKF Production System methods like Lean, TPM & 5S at Factory level & support implementation to achieve targeted master plan of SQDCWE objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Responsibility of creating the continuous improvement of culture by developing and implementation of Excellence / Lean / TPM program & other key business Initiatives across the plant
  2. Drive Value Stream Map, 5S & Visual Management, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Setup changeover, Hoshin Kanri / X matrix creation, Loss Cost matrix, QA/QM Matrix, Standardized Work, TPM and other Lean initiatives across plant
  3. Develop Training modules / training stations / reference material / documents for Business excellence / Lean / TPM initiatives (like JH, 5S, visualization, ECRS, etc.) / TPM (Kaizen Eye, PM Analysis, QM Matrix, Why-Why, Loss Cost Matrix, etc.) & give training to circle and develop small topic trainers, increase the runs at Gemba.
  4. Develop Visuals and Kaizen reference for Autonomous Maintenance, 5S circles & facilitate circles for Horizontal Deployment of best kaizens for focused improvements.
  5. Develop relevant MIS dashboards through Power BI, MS-Excel etc. and Process Data, build right form of relevant statistics for presenting right picture to management related to Business excellence / Lean / TPM progress. Organize competitions like Kaizen, 5S etc.
  6. JH / AM machine planning, fixing priority preparation of Step Passing and communicate to circles and zonal leaders & JH Step auditing and guiding circle to meet the requirements & suggest the kaizen ideas for Easy to CLIT
  7. Enhance Skill of circle members for Abnormality identification and coaching them to correlate it with the impact on BAD.

Competencies:

  • Hands on experience of TPM / Lean tool implementation
  • Experience of effective course design and delivery
  • Strong Communication (verbal & written) & Stakeholder Management Skills
  • Analytical mindset with Dashboard Creation/ Data Visualization skills (MS-Excel, Power BI)
  • Time Management & effective planning skills

Candidate Profile:

  1. Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
  2. Candidate must have experience in Production, 5S, TPM, Lean Implementation.

6 - 8 yrs. of work experience required.

  1. TPM Excellence / Deming Prize awarded Industry background preferred.
