Assistant Manager | Burleigh Heads Hotel

Are you a hospitality leader ready to help write the next chapter for one of the most famous beachside venues on the Gold Coast? The Burleigh Heads Hotel is currently under a complete makeover, reopening September 23rd with a brand-new, elevated venue identity!

We are officially stepping away from the old weekend nightclub scene to create a warm, premium, and guest-focused atmosphere that celebrates the absolute best of Burleigh’s coastal culture. Even better? You will never walk the floor alone We run a strong multi-manager model on shift, ensuring you always have direct peer support on the floor during peak trade, combined with the rare operational lifestyle perk of earlier closing hours compared to typical high-volume gaming venues!

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
