We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Actuarial Services.

In this role you will:

  • The role sits within the Par & Universal Life Fund Management and Experience Studies team.
  • Primarily responsible for supporting experience monitoring, setting actuarial assumptions, performing impact and sensitivity testing, and contributing to the annual Par bonus recommendation and implementation.
  • Supports the monthly and quarterly production of management information for internal stakeholders.
  • Contributes to ad hoc actuarial initiatives and projects to enhance existing processes.
  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver assigned outputs on time and to the required quality.
  • Maintains documentation in line with HSBC standards and guidelines.

To be successful you will need:

  • Relevant Life Actuarial experience, candidate with less experience / non-actuarial experience will be considered for Associate position.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently, interact with other departments
  • Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
  • Experience in SQL/Python and/or Prophet is a plus.
