About the Role

We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) Banking team. In this role, you'll work closely with Relationship Managers and product specialists to support a portfolio of business banking customers, build strong customer relationships, and deliver tailored banking solutions.

You'll play a key role in customer portfolio management, financial analysis, credit assessment, risk management, and identifying opportunities to help customers achieve their business objectives. A background or interest in Agribusiness will be highly regarded.

Role Type: Fixed-Term (12 Months)

Role Location: 21 Gawler Street, Mount Barker, SA 5251 – ANZ Branch/Business Centre or Shop 13 / 130 Main Road, Mclaren Vale, SA 5171 – ANZ Branch/Business Centre

Work Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)

What will your day look like?

· Support and grow a portfolio of SME Banking customers.

· Build strong customer relationships through proactive engagement and exceptional service.

· Conduct financial analysis and support credit assessments.

· Assist in identifying growth opportunities and solutions tailored to customer needs.

· Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Product Partners, and key stakeholders.

· Contribute to customer account planning and portfolio management activities.

· Ensure compliance with ANZ policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.

· Support customers with account maintenance and fulfilment activities.

· Maintain accurate and timely completion of customer documentation and reports.

· Identify and manage risks while supporting positive customer outcomes.

What will you bring?

• Previous experience in banking, financial services, customer relationship management, or a similar commercial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience interpreting financial statements and supporting credit outcomes.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering excellent outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Knowledge of Agribusiness and the wider SME market is highly desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
