Immediate Supervisor Title: General Manager
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for direct reports to include Front Register Cashier, Service Center Cashier, Floor Personnel, Custodian, Pharmacy Delivery Drivers, and Pharmacy Cashiers in conjunction with the Pharmacist in Charge in the absence of Store Manager
General Summary: Responsible for assisting the General Manager in leading and directing operations at specified locations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and directing a team of employees in a positive manner to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Responsible for all aspects of the POS system to include input, upkeep, and ongoing training of employees using the POS system.
- Responsible for knowing the duties of all direct reports and possessing the ability to function in these positions when necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of DME Specialists job functions and performs duties in their absence from the store.
- Responsible for certain Human Resources duties to include scheduling, disciplinary actions, employee evaluations, interviewing, hiring, and dismissals as well as company policy enforcement.
- Orders and receives hardware inventory. Processes hardware damage and shortage claims. Maintains knowledge of hardware products. Assists with marketing to increase hardware sales.
- Responsible for inventory ordering and processing, including DME, from numerous vendors as well as product returns, and merchandise transfers from location to location. This includes knowledge of drug supplier “clean ups”.
- Responsible for knowledge of current compliance issues.
- Responsible for general maintenance, upkeep, and appearance of the store.
- Keeping the stock room organized and clean.
- Assist with new employee orientation and training as well as ongoing training for current direct reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education: High School or equivalent.
Experience: Suggested minimum of two years management experience, preferably in the retail setting.
Other Requirements: Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of retail pharmacy planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a pharmacy location within the organization.
- Knowledge of the surrounding community demographics to be able to assist with product selection and merchandising for individual locations.
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the pharmacy sufficient to direct its retail operations and to provide quality customer service.

Equipment Operated: Digital sign, ATM (where applicable), lamination machine, standard retail machines to include POS system, telephones, copy machines, fax machines, digital photo processor (where applicable), lottery machines, and key cutting machines (where applicable).
Work Environment: This position is in a fast-paced, retail environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting, walking, standing, and lifting. Position also involves managing employees and dealing with any employee conflicts that arise from such management.
