Job Title: Assistant Manager Credit
Location: Abu Dhabi
Reports To: Head of Credit & Risk
Purpose:
Support the Head of Credit & Risk in assessing, underwriting, and approving credit applications within company policy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and effective risk management in line with board-approved risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining credit and risk management policies.
Analyse financial statements, business models, and market trends to identify and mitigate credit risks.
Conduct detailed credit checks, review securities, and prepare comprehensive credit proposals.
Collaborate with business teams to safeguard portfolio quality while maintaining strong client relationships.
Ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare and monitor portfolio MIS, quarterly risk reports, and regulatory submissions.
Support portfolio monitoring and annual reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Commerce/Finance.
Minimum 5 years experience in Credit & Risk within a bank or finance company.
Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
Skills & Competencies:
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in financial modelling, risk assessment tools, and MS Office.
