Job Title: Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager’s job is to ensure an exceptional customer experience and serve as a leader of their location to assist the Store Manager with retail operation in the fields of marketing, advertising, customer service issues, employee training, inventory management, and all aspects of retail management. The Assistant Manager will work alongside the store manager to provide a focused direction that aligns with the retail workforce with the overall company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities -

Operational Oversight:

• Assist and collaborate with the Store Manager to supervise day-to-day assignments and performance
• Manage store matters relating to recruiting, hiring, training, engagement, and performance
• Maintain professional discussion and demeanor with store employees, vendors, and customers
• Assist in building and maintaining an environment that creates a pleasant shopping experience

Financial Management:

• Assist store manager with budget/orders/etc.
• Maintain control of retail assets to assist with eliminating shrinkage
• Assist with loss prevention

Customer Service:

• Provide customer service leadership and direction for the entire store and team
• Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceed company standards
• Address customer issues in a timely manner
• Notify management of severe situations at location

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Ability to be on call for staffing issues and emergencies
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Able to stand, bend, and kneel continuously throughout shift
• Able to lift/carry up to 49lbs
