We are looking for a Assistant Management Accountant based in our London Head Office.

About the Job

Clarins UK Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant based in London within the Finance department. You will report to the Finance Manager and support the accounting, business partnering and regulatory needs for Clarins UK Ltd and Clarins Distribution Ltd.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely, complete and accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts, maintain the month-end timetable and coordinate delivery to agreed deadlines.
• Provide variance analysis with explanatory commentary and end-of-month reports to support management decision-making.
• Maintain the balance sheet reconciliation file and complete assigned monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
• Business partner with the Leadership Team, Heads of Department, Payroll and Travel Retail, providing insightful and accurate analysis to budget holders.
• Support statutory accounts preparation and respond to queries arising from the year-end audit.
• Assist the Financial Accountant with corporation tax return preparation by analysing spend.
• Drive continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing better ways of working.

About you:

• Detail orientated and have excellent analytical skills.
• Organised and able to manage month-end timetables and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Open, approachable and able to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using management information systems and producing management reports.
• Customer oriented and results driven.

Essential qualifications:

• Part-qualified in CIMA, ACA or ACCA and actively studying towards completion.
• 1–2 years’ experience in an accounting role (or equivalent practical experience).
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
• Competent user of management information systems (examples: Hyperion, ERM packages, Cognos).
