Fancy a finance role where you’re not just crunching numbers but seeing the real impact of your work?

At Stowe Family Law, we’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant who’s keen to grow their skills, get stuck into management accounts, and make a tangible difference. This isn’t just any finance role – it’s hands-on, varied, and perfect for someone progressing through their accounting qualification. What you’ll be doing

  • Help prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules, and analyse key cost movements

  • Carry out month-end tasks including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and bad debt provisions

  • Perform daily bank and regular balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies

  • Support Purchase Ledger with supplier payments, expenses, credit cards, and aged creditors

  • Assist with VAT returns, budgeting, audits, and compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with some exposure to management accounts

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Salesforce or similar systems is a bonus

  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to meet reporting deadlines

  • Strong analytical ability with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Clear communicator, comfortable working across teams

  • Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable in a changing environment

  • You’ll be able to work 80% from home, with 20% of your working week based in our Harrogate office. The team usually goes into the Harrogate office every Thursday, plus one day each month in our Leeds office with the wider finance team.
