Job Description

THIS IS A 3RD SHIFT MAINTENANCE POSITION.

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure goals of the department are met.
  • Communicate directly with operations to coordinate maintenance and repairs for equipment.
  • Communicate with QA to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
  • Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
  • Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
  • Ensure all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.
  • Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems.
  • Supervise plant maintenance staff.
  • Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Some college or technical certification preferred
  • 5+ years managing a maintenance department required, poultry industry preferred
  • Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
