The role will give you exposure to complex issues including liability, coverage, indemnity, quantum, causation and fundamental dishonesty.
As a Complex Injury Assistant Lawyer, you’ll be part of the Complex Injury Claims Team, helping to progress files from the initial receipt of papers through to resolution. You’ll support on cases involving serious and catastrophic injuries, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and fatal claims.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to analyse evidence, prepare advice, communicate with insurer clients and help move claims forward. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend conferences, mediations, settlement meetings and court hearings, both remotely and in person.
Why join us?
You’ll be joining a growing and supportive team where your work will be supervised and feedback will be provided to help you continue developing.
You’ll have the chance to work closely with experienced lawyers, senior claims handlers and long-standing insurance clients, gaining exposure to high-quality complex injury work.
There may also be opportunities to support activities that help enhance and develop Keoghs’ profile.
We anticipate this role will be appointed up to Associate level; however, this will ultimately depend on the successful candidate’s experience. We welcome applications from individuals across a range of experience levels, and the appropriate level will be discussed during the application and interview process.
We’re looking for someone with relevant experience in injury litigation who is keen to continue developing within complex injury work. Significant fast-track experience and above will be considered, and applications are welcomed from both claimant and defendant backgrounds.
You may be a qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or have proven relevant legal experience. What matters most is that you have a strong understanding of indemnity, liability and quantum, excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex evidence carefully and confidently.
You’ll also bring a positive, personable and collaborative approach. This role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is keen to learn, and wants to be involved with both clients and colleagues.
