About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant IT Technical Officer to support the management, security, and continuity of a critical technical IT environment within an industrial operations setting. You will play a key role in maintaining Technical PCs (TPCs), site security systems, and IT infrastructure while ensuring high standards of cybersecurity, reliability, and operational continuity.
You will work closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders to execute upgrades, manage systems, and ensure stable, secure, and well-documented IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
System & Software Management
Execute and coordinate OS upgrades for Technical PCs (TPCs) with minimal downtime
Perform OS patching and resolve related issues
Manage backup system upgrades and onboarding of new systems
Install, configure, and maintain monitoring tools for infrastructure visibility
Manage antivirus solutions and endpoint security configurations
Configure Remote Desktop tools for technical support
Upgrade applications to improve system performance and reliability
Maintain Active Directory structures for proper policy enforcement
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices
Risk & Coordination
Coordinate all interventions with end users and vendors
Ensure backups are performed before system upgrades
Support risk mitigation and continuity planning
Network & Infrastructure Support
Maintain IP addressing structures and network configurations
Collaborate with network and operations teams for deployments and changes
Projects & Technical Support
Support Site Security systems (access control, CCTV, security software)
Participate in PLC migration projects with OT and engineering teams
Documentation & Asset Management
Maintain technical documentation and procedures
Manage IT asset inventories and configuration records
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in technical PC environments or industrial/OT systems
Strong knowledge of Windows environments
Experience with WSUS, backup systems, monitoring tools, antivirus solutions, and Microsoft Office
Experience working with structured IT procedures in industrial or multinational environments
Experience with PLC systems (Beckhoff experience is a plus)
Languages: Dutch, English, and French (professional level)
Strong focus on cybersecurity, reliability, and risk management
