The Consumer Investigations Unit (CIU) of Service Alberta & Red Tape Reduction administers the Consumer Protection Act (Act) and its related regulations, as well as other legislation designed to promote a fair marketplace by establishing a minimum standard of conduct in respect of the marketing and sale of goods and services in Alberta.

If you believe in Justice, unbiases investigations and have an enforcement, regulatory or protection background, then become a member of our team in the capacity of an Assistant Investigator.
As the Assistant Investigator you will conduct investigations into allegations of violations of Alberta’s Consumer Protection Legislation, obtain evidence for purpose of seeking the truth, and taking appropriate enforcement action. Investigations assigned directly to you will generally be a lower level of complexity. You may also work in a team led by more senior investigators who are conducting complex investigations completing assigned investigative tasks.

This is a permanent position located in Edmonton.
