Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to provide high quality, person centred care to a participant living in the Schofields area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AIN with experience supporting individuals with complex physical care needs. The role involves providing personal care, medication assistance, manual handling, transfers using a ceiling hoist, and supporting the participant with daily living activities in their home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care and daily living activities
  • Support with safe transfers using a ceiling hoist
  • Administer medication including injections
  • Provide manual handling assistance following safe work practices
  • Assist with domestic duties including household tasks
  • Support with meal preparation
  • Provide transport and community access support where required
  • Maintain professional boundaries and provide reliable, consistent support

About You:

  • Female (essential due to participant preference)
  • Experience in using a ceiling hoist for transfer (Essential)
  • Highly preferred to have experience administering medications, including injections
  • Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively
  • Honest, reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Experienced in disability support and personal care
  • Confident with manual handling and transfers
  • Experienced using ceiling hoists (essential)
  • Compassionate and respectful when supporting participants with complex mobility needs

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous disability support experience
  • Manual handling experience
  • Experience with ceiling hoists and transfers
  • Personal care experience
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Working rights in Australia
  • Reliable transport and driver's licence preferred

Shift Availability
Ongoing shifts available, commencing with:

  • Tuesday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

Potential for additional ongoing shifts based on participant needs and your availability.
