Abortion Care: At PPRM, we all work in abortion care. This role supports abortion care through direct clinical triage, patient education, and follow-up, ensuring timely and empathetic support to those navigating abortion services.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with Planned Parenthood as a Health Center Assistant (HCA) or related health care leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory attributes; Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to be adaptable and function well in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong ability to cultivate and maintain a team culture in line with our In This Together (ITT) Values and Services Standards
  • Critical thinker; Solution-focused/Proactive problem solver
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; Desire to work with all people, irrespective of background, race, or creed
  • BLS certification required within 3 months of hire (in house training provided)

What You'll Do:

  • Supports the Health Center Manager and surrounding sites with operational oversight and tasks.
  • Assists with or manages instances of behavior escalation, suspicious encounters, and reportable abuse.
  • As needed, performs all applicable responsibilities of the Health Center Assistant and Certified Medical Assistant within the health center including but not limited to: assisting with care for patients, working at the front desk, assisting with billing verification, working in the back office or lab and opening or closing duties.
  • Monitors health center flow through patient-centered care strategies that ensure quality patient care, timely appointments, efficient processes, and engaged staff.
  • Monitors health centers overall performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) by accessing the KPI dashboard. May be required to present KPI data in leadership meetings during managers absence.
  • Supports the Health Center Manager in creating continuous improvement plans for improved health center performance based on KPI goals.
  • Directly supervises CMA’s, PMA’s and HCA’s when delegated by the Health Center Manager.
  • Assists the Health Center Manager with the preparation and facilitation of staff meetings.
  • Orients traveling staff to the health center and assists in the supervision of all health center staff in coordination with the Health Center Manager.
  • Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) during manager’s absence.

Starting Pay: $29.26 to $37.07 *Although our full pay range is included above, placement is determined by candidate's experience.
Additional Pay: +$1.25/hour for Spanish fluency (upon passing test)

Schedule: Full-time ~37.5 hours/week; Non-exempt; Benefits Eligible; Schedule is TBD and will be discussed during interview

However, all Health Center/Patient or Community Facing Employees, must have the COVID vaccine or wear a mask at all times beginning November 1st. Proof must be uploaded upon hire.
