Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Execution: Support the DGM in developing and executing global terminal procurement strategies, ensuring aligned implementation across regions in line with PIL's strategic priorities, while balancing commercial objectives, operational requirements, and long-term partnership goals with terminal operators.

Procurement Governance & Standardisation: Establish and enforce standardised procurement practices, contract structures, SLAs, and compliance frameworks.

Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations: Support and where required lead high-value negotiations with terminal operators and key service providers.

Cost Optimisation: Drive cost reduction initiatives through benchmarking, contract reviews, and consolidation of procurement activities.

Vendor Performance Management: Oversee performance monitoring frameworks and ensure structured vendor evaluations across regions.

Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with Operations, Trade, Finance and Regional Offices to ensure procurement activities align with network and service requirements.

Digitalisation & Process Improvement: Drive system enhancements, data visibility, reporting capabilities, and process optimisation initiatives.

Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability frameworks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Maritime, Business or related disciplines
  • 10–12 years of experience in terminal/marine procurement or shipping industry
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
  • Experience working in regional/global procurement roles is preferred
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
