Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Support the team in planning, execution, and monitoring of NCE/NBE/Peptide drug discovery projects.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation schedules.
  • Track project progress and ensure adherence to development timelines and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities among Discovery Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Analytical, DMPK, Toxicology, CMC, Regulatory, IP, and Clinical teams.

Program Management

  • Facilitate portfolio management and prioritization of R&D programs.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and prepare status dashboards/MIS reports for senior management.
  • Monitor critical path activities and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication between internal teams and external collaborators/CROs/CDMOs.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of project budgets and resource utilization.
  • Track project expenditures and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate procurement and outsourcing activities related to R&D programs.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Prepare scientific and operational presentations for leadership review meetings.
  • Maintain effective communication with senior management and external partners.
  • Support governance meetings, management reviews, and strategic planning discussions.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure project documentation, meeting minutes, action trackers, and reports are maintained accurately.
  • Support compliance with GLP/GMP/GCP and internal quality systems wherever applicable.
  • Coordinate regulatory and technical documentation support for development programs.

External Collaboration Management

  • Liaise with CROs, academic institutes, technology partners, and manufacturing organizations.
  • Monitor deliverables from external partners and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • M.Pharm / MS / PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
  • Certification in Project Management (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of drug discovery and pharmaceutical development processes.

Experience Required

  • 10–15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Prior experience in:
    • Drug Discovery R&D
    • Project/Program Management
    • NCE/NBE/Peptide development programs
    • Cross-functional pharmaceutical project coordination
  • Exposure to regulated markets and global collaborations preferred.
