Position Title: Jackson Hole Sports Assistant General Manager

Department: Jackson Hole Sports Retail

Reports to: Jackson Hole Sports General Manager

Classification: Year-Round, Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Manage the retail, rental and repair operations at JH Sports, Casper Ski Test Center, HIW Snowboard Shop, Kid’s Ranch Rental Outlet, General Store, and JH Sports Seasonal Lockers to achieve guest service and budgetary goals.

Job Duties

• Managing operating budgets for retail/rental outlets
• Hires, trains, motivates, and evaluates store managers
• Onboarding all staff
• Responsible for all commission programs within the JH Sports operation
• Develops and implements training programs for all store staff
• Directs transfers, markdowns, promotional set-ups and merchandising for retail outlets
• Works with GM to develop and implement retail/rental marketing strategy
• Assists GM with retail vendor partnerships
• Develop and implement inventory awareness programs for all store staff
• Oversee daily operations of JH Sports summer retail/rental and related activities
• Direct and execute physical inventory process
• Establishes and maintains proper safety practices for customers and staff
• Works with Food and Beverage Managers for General Store
• Works with Mountain Sports School for Kid’s Ranch Rental/Retail location
• Oversee all JHMR locker outlets
• Work as a retail and rental associate as needed
• Support company-wide initiatives

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proven people management skills.
• Overall knowledge of ski retail industry.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite and point of sale systems.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and inventory processes.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• College degree.
• Prior experience in ski shop or retail management.
• Prior experience with retail and rental software programs.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in both summer and winter.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
