Assistant General Manager | DFW Airport

Paradies Lagardère is an award-winning airport concessionaire known for delivering elevated retail and dining experiences in high-traffic environments. We are seeking a driven and hands-on Assistant General Manager to support daily operations within our airport locations at DFW Airport.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for supporting day-to-day business operations, team development, operational execution, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced airport environment.

About the Role

As the Assistant General Manager, you will partner closely with the General Manager to lead daily operations while ensuring service standards, team performance, and operational expectations are consistently met. This role requires a leader who can thrive in a high-volume environment, adapt quickly to changing business needs, and maintain a strong presence on the floor.

You will be responsible for supporting team accountability, coaching employees, resolving operational challenges in real time, and helping drive overall business performance while creating a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations Leadership
Support and oversee daily operations to ensure smooth execution throughout all shifts. Maintain strong visibility on the floor and provide hands-on support to the team during high-volume periods.

Guest Experience & Service Standards
Ensure guests receive fast, friendly, and professional service. Support teams in maintaining operational standards, resolving guest concerns, and creating a welcoming experience in a fast-paced airport environment.

Team Leadership & Development
Assist with recruiting, training, coaching, and developing team members to meet performance expectations. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and operational excellence.

Staffing & Scheduling Support
Support scheduling efforts to ensure proper staffing coverage based on business demands. Assist leadership in addressing staffing gaps, attendance concerns, and hiring initiatives.

Operational Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and all applicable health and sanitation guidelines. Maintain audit readiness and support overall workplace compliance efforts.

Inventory & Cost Control
Support inventory management, product ordering, and operational cost controls. Assist in minimizing waste, maintaining organization, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Problem Solving & Decision Making
Quickly identify and resolve operational challenges involving staffing, guest concerns, equipment issues, or workflow disruptions while maintaining professionalism and urgency.

Business Performance Support
Partner with leadership to support labor management, productivity goals, operational performance, and overall business objectives. Help drive initiatives that improve efficiency, team engagement, and guest satisfaction.

  • Previous leadership experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or other high-volume customer service environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to support operations at all levels
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in an airport environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage shifting priorities
