As an Assistant General Manager at one of our prestigious RIU properties in Africa or Asia, you will be a key figure in supporting the General Manager in achieving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and business targets. This role offers tremendous potential for career advancement, as RIU’s accelerated growth in the region opens pathways for successful Assistant General Managers to transition into General Manager positions within a reasonable timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in all daily operations to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure each area operates effectively, providing seamless guest experiences.
  • Assist in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to meet property goals.
  • Lead and develop team members through ongoing training, feedback, and performance management.
  • Promote a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Actively contribute to RIU’s brand standards, guest satisfaction, and overall property reputation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, including supervisory or management roles.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams to deliver outstanding service.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with guests and staff alike.
  • Ability to adapt to different cultural settings and manage operations in multicultural environments.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
