We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to support our team at Renner, leaders in running track and court construction across the Rocky Mountain region, specializing in post-tension concrete. From high-profile collegiate venues to local community parks, Renner Sports is trusted at every level.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will be working from our Denver office. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a key leadership position responsible for supporting the General Manager in the oversight of sales, operations, and project execution for Renner Sports’ athletic surfacing business. This role supports the delivery of high-quality running tracks, athletic courts, and post-tension systems by ensuring alignment between sales commitments, operational planning, safety, and field execution. The AGM partners closely with sales, project management, and field leadership to drive performance, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:
Sales & Pre‑Construction
Support sales efforts from lead development through contract award
Assist with bid reviews, scope clarification, pricing alignment, and proposal accuracy
Ensure complete handoff from sales to operations (scope, schedule, expectations)
Support relationship management with owners, architects, engineers, and GCs
Operations & Project Execution
Support day‑to‑day operations to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality project delivery
Coordinate labor planning, scheduling, materials, and equipment with PMs and field leaders
Monitor project performance (schedule, quality, safety, cost)
Assist in resolving field, scheduling, and technical issues
Technical & Industry Alignment
Maintain working knowledge of Beynon track systems, athletic courts, and post‑tension methods
Support compliance with specifications, governing body standards, and manufacturer requirements
Assist in reviewing plans, specs, and change orders for scope and cost impact
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Reinforce company safety policies and jobsite expectations
Support adherence to quality control procedures and installation standards
Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT requirements, and industry regulations
Team Leadership & Development
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of sales and operations staff
Promote collaboration and accountability across departments
Provide performance feedback and support corrective actions
Serve as leader‑on‑duty in the General Manager’s absence
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Support budgeting, forecasting, and job cost tracking
Review sales projections, backlog, and operational KPIs
Assist with internal reporting and documentation accuracy
Continuous Improvement & Strategy
Partner with the GM on process improvements and growth initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer experience
Support special projects and company‑wide initiatives
What you need for success:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
3–5 years of leadership experience in construction, athletic surfacing, or related industry
Strong experience in project management: budgeting, cost to complete, change orders, procurement, and percentage of completion.
Experience with running tracks, athletic courts, or post‑tension systems (preferred)
Strong understanding of sales processes, project execution, and field operations
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office , CRM, ERP systems and/or Bluebeam
Willingness to travel to jobsites as needed
Some overnight travel – max 25%

Ability to walk jobsites, attend field meetings, and support operational needs
