Assistant Front Office Manager

Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel is looking for an experienced, confident, and guest-focused Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, supporting a team, and delivering a high standard of service in a busy hotel environment. As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will support the Front Office Manager in the day-to-day running of the department and help ensure that every guest receives a warm, professional, and efficient experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Front Office Manager in the daily operation of the Front Office department
  • Oversee smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures
  • Supervise the Front Office team and lead by example on shift
  • Ensure high standards of guest service are delivered at all times
  • Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Assist with room allocations, guest profiles, billing, and reservations
  • Ensure all Front Office procedures are followed correctly and consistently
  • Use Opera Cloud to manage guest records, reservations, room status, and billing accurately
  • Support the training and development of Front Office team members
  • Assist with rota planning and daily team organisation
  • Monitor team performance and provide day-to-day guidance where needed
  • Liaise closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest journey
  • Act as the main point of support in the absence of the Front Office Manager
  • Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-focused working environment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous Front Office experience within a hotel environment
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and guest service standards
  • Good working knowledge of Opera Cloud is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A professional appearance and guest-focused attitude
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
