If so, Canadian Natural has an exciting opportunity waiting for you in Grande Prairie Central District. As an Assistant Foreman, you will be responsible for safely leading a field team of ~20 people to effectively and efficiently manage operating and capital cost as well as maximize current production of 32,000 Boe/dwhile supporting significant multiyear area development. You will be in a pivotal position to deliver on regulatory requirements, as well as communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership, knowledge and direction to field staff towards Canadian Natural's Safety Management Systems
  • Maximize safe well production and facility throughput by working closely with Production Foreman, Maintenance Foreman, SCC Coordinator, Technical and Administration Teams to maintain runtime performance of > 97% from wellhead to sales
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets while maintaining cost control for your area
  • Provide leadership and supervision to field staff by on-site work planning and day-to-day direction while managing staff performance, spending >60% of time in the field
  • Maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 10+ years of field experience in an operational, maintenance or technical role
  • Production Field Operations Certificate is required
  • Working knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations
  • Proven team leadership experience in a supervisory or mentorship capacity with strong communication skills (proven project management skills in planning, preparations and execution)
  • Graduate with Engineering Degree, Technology Diploma or Journeyman certification is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of oil and gas economics
