We will provide uniforms, paid training, and sanitation certification if you are not already Serve Safe Certified.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Food Service Director to assist and support the Food Service Director at our Nursing Home Facility in Vestal, NY.
Our ideal Assistant Food Service Director candidate will have experience in culinary, sanitation, and administrative tasks. Experienced managing a food service team along with exceptional client relations and customer satisfaction skills.

Assistant Food Service Director Key Duties

  • Assist and support the Food Service Director with daily operations.
  • Oversee inventory and ordering for the department.
  • Knowledge of local, State, Federal regulations, and survey inspection process.
  • Assist in resident meal tickets. Meal Tracker experience a PLUS.
  • Oversee the overall sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen, storage and dining areas, and equipment.
  • Performs other job-related duties.

Assistant Food Service Director Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Nursing Home, Hospital, or Healthcare Required.
  • High schoold diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired!
  • Previous management or supervisory experience a Required!
