Assistant Fleet Manager / Aviation Maintenance Advisor
Program Summary
This program provides direct support to the Army National Guard Bureau and supports the 325,000 citizen-soldiers stationed across 54 states, territories, and Washington, D.C. The National Guard Bureau is tasked with ensuring proper training, equipping and manning of the Army and Air National Guard so they can perform their missions as the primary combat reserve of the Army and the Air Force to fight and win the nation’s wars, protect the homeland and assist communities in times of natural or human-caused disaster.
This position provides direct support to the Army National Guard Bureau’s Air and Space Division, Sustainment Branch, as an Aviation Maintenance and Logistics Specialist. The major duties entail serving as a Subject Matter Expert in for the ARNG’s Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Groups, Depot repair system and will serve as the lead for integration of the MV-75 into the Army National Guard to include maintenance planning for that platform. The ideal candidate will assist and provide expert advise to the leadership of the Army National Guard Bureau on matters that impact all 54 Staters & Territories as well as impact the ability of the Amry to project force & accomplish its wartime mission.
Roles and Responsibilities
Army National Guard-Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group-Aviation Classification and Repair Depot-Support SME:
- Provide subject matter expertise and analysis on issues, initiatives, and programs involving:
*Army National Guard (ARNG) Aviation Maintenance, Systems and Programs
*ARNG Aviation Life Cycle Sustainment Support
-Liaison with U.S. Army Aviation and Army Defense Logistical Agencies
-Provide ARNG Aircraft logistics and Maintenance Analysis
Army National Guard-MV-75 Integrator and Subject Matter Expert:
-Incorporate with the Army MV-75 Integrated Operational Planning Team (IOPT). Direct Liaison with:
* Aviation Center of Excellence G1, G3
* DOTD
* PM FLRAA
* DAMO-AV
* USMC
* BELL/TEXTRON
* USASOAC
-Provide Executive Summaries and Integration deliverables to the Chief, Sustainment Branch, ARNG-ASD
Basic Qualifications
· 15+ years experience managing Aviation Maintenance.
· Rated Military Aviator, Engineer, or civilian equivalent
· Secret Security Clearence
· 5+ years experience working in or with National Guard
Preferred Qualifications
· Army Aviation Maintenance experience
· Experience working as a State, CAB or TASMG Aviation Maintenance Officer
· Rated Army Aviator
· Graduate of Maintenance Test Pilot or Experimental Test Pilot Courses
