FINANCE OFFICE

Assistant Finance Officer - Payroll Unit (Full time payroll processing) (25260595)

Responsibilities:

• Handle full process of payroll, including monthly payroll payments, tax returns, MPF and ORSO contributions and other related matters;
• Possess competent knowledge and experience in ensuring the compliance of Employment / Provident Fund / Inland Revenue Ordinances and University’s policies;
• Prepare payroll and analysis reports, cost allocation report and annual staff cost budgets;
• Follow up and liaise closely with Human Resources Office and Office of Information Technology on issues concerning payroll system enhancement and development; and
• Handle enquires and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• A recognised diploma or above and preferably with LCC Intermediate level in bookkeeping and accounts;
• Fresh graduates are welcomed and will be considered;
• Candidates with knowledge in payroll processing, Employment/Inland Revenue Ordinances and MPF Schemes Ordinance will be an advantage;
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
• Demonstration of good analytical skills and PC application skills especially in Excel; Good numerical sense and be detail-minded with strong leadership and organisational skills;
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
• A good team player, mature and self-motivated.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a proficiency test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
