Job Description

Company background

We are representing one of our MNC client in industrial packaging industry. As they are expanding, they are looking for Assistant Finance Manager to be based in Shah Alam.

The Assistant Finance Manager will assist the Finance Manager in overseeing the financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of financial statements, reports and budgets
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Monitor cash balances and cash management activities
  • Generate and review journal entries and ensure compliance accounting policies
  • Perform analyses of financial data to identify trends, variances, an opportunity for improvement
  • Work with Group Finance to ensure compliance, accurate and timely reporting
  • Timely preparation of audit reports, tax computation & transfer pricing documents.
  • Maintain strong relationship with internal and external parties, including auditors, tax agents and other stakeholders
  • Assist in the implementation and integration of SAP ERP from Dynamic AX
  • Any ad hoc duties as required from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting and any related field.
  • At least 5 years accounting experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Candidates with professional qualification are most welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage
  • Advanced Excel abilities.
  • Good command in English & Mandarin (Role required to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts).
  • Ability to work under pressure and extended hours when is necessary in order to meet the deadlines.
  • Ability to partner with a range of stakeholders from finance and non-finance backgrounds to drive performance.
  • Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Additional Info

  • Working Hours: 9am-6pm (Mon - Fri)
  • Annual Leave: 16 days
  • Performance bonus
