Job Title : Assistant Finance Manager

Work Location : Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center

Reporting To : Director of Finance

What will I be doing?

The Assistant Finance Manager reports directly to the Director of Finance and supports the effective management of the hotel’s financial operations, reporting, and control processes. The role is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information, and supporting compliance with company policies, procedures, applicable legislation, and contractual obligations.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Ensure the preparation and analysis of the hotel’s monthly, periodic, and annual financial results.

• Actively contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, and analyze variances between actual results and budget.

• Monitor key financial performance indicators and develop actions to improve revenue, costs, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.

• Ensure that financial reports are prepared accurately, completely, and on time, and presented to the Director of Finance.

• Support the effective management of the hotel’s accounting, finance, cost control, income audit, accounts receivable/payable, and cash management processes.

• Maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit standards.

• Monitor compliance with applicable legislation, tax regulations, company policies, and relevant contractual obligations.

• Provide the necessary information and documentation to support internal and external audit processes.

• Identify and monitor the hotel’s financial risks and escalate relevant matters to the Director of Finance when necessary.

• Work closely with operational departments to identify opportunities for cost optimization and profitability improvement.

• Support the development of the finance team and ensure effective allocation of responsibilities and efficient management of finance processes.

• Contribute to fostering a high-performance, collaborative, development-oriented, and continuous improvement culture within the finance team.

Who are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Good command of English; proficiency in Turkish is required.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Finance Manager or in a similar finance management role within the hospitality industry.

• Good knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control.

• Good understanding of hotel finance operations, including Revenue Control, Cost Control, Accounts Receivable/Payable, cash management, and month-end closing processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into meaningful business insights.

• Good knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and applicable financial legislation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with hotel management and financial systems is an advantage.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to effectively support and guide finance team members and operational departments, while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
