The team you will be part of

As Intrepid's Centre of Excellence (COE) scales, we are looking for a senior Assistant Finance Manager to act as the Deputy to the Head of Finance COE, based in Thailand. Given Thailand's scale within the region, this role anchors the COE's in-country presence — leading the Thailand-based COE team and owning the integrity of Thailand's transactional finance operations (AP, AR, GL, NetSuite).

Statutory tax positions and audited financial statement sign-off remain with Thailand Country Finance (the Acct & Tax Manager and Head of Finance TH), who hold the business visibility required for sign-off. This role's ownership is the transactional engine that feeds into it — ensuring the numbers Country Finance relies on are complete, accurate and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transactional integrity & ledger ownership (core scope)

• Own the quality, completeness and accuracy of Thailand Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger processing and NetSuite records — this is the role's primary accountability.
• Drive a disciplined, on-time month-end close for Thailand's transactional books, with proper cut-off and accruals.
• Own Accounts Receivable health — ageing, collections and unbilled — and margin claimback (brand / platform recovery) processing end-to-end.
• Ensure every balance-sheet account tied to transactional processing is supported by a proper schedule, with unsupported items resolved on a timely basis.

1. Team leadership (COE Thailand)

• Line-manage the Thailand-based COE team (AP, AR, GL); review and approve their work as first-line quality control.
• Build capacity and capability within the Thailand COE team; own performance management and development.
• Route quality issues and process feedback into the COE Vietnam feedback loop, closing the loop on recurring defects.

1. Technical compliance execution (process layer, not tax authority)

• Execute technical compliance processes for withholding tax, VAT invoice matching, and other statutory-linked transactional workflows.
• Support the Acct & Tax Manager and interim / year-end audits by providing complete, well-supported transactional evidence.
• Work closely with the COE in Vietnam to ensure processes are applied consistently and issues between country and COE are resolved without delay.
• Support standardisation and continuous improvement across the shared-service model, including automation initiatives.

Not responsible for: interpreting Thailand tax positions, signing statutory filings, or signing off audited financial statements. These sit with the Acct & Tax Manager / Head of Finance TH, who has the business visibility required for sign-off.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years' (or more) relevant accounting / finance experience, with a strong, demonstrable technical foundation across AP, AR and GL.
• Proven experience managing or supervising a team, with the ability to build capability and hold direct reports accountable.
• Experience in a shared-service or Centre-of-Excellence environment — comfortable liaising with a centralised processing team and managing the country–COE relationship.
• Working knowledge of Thailand tax and statutory compliance processes (execution level); regional exposure an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with a major ERP (NetSuite an advantage) and confident with reconciliations and month-end close.
• Proactive and always on top of the numbers — chases issues down early and does not let receivables, reconciliations or open items drift.
• Detail-oriented and control-minded, with a track record of clean books and few errors.
• Able to operate at a senior level — lead a team, take ownership, make decisions, and communicate confidently with country finance, the COE and the business.
• Fluent in Thai and English.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) preferred.

What Success Looks Like

• Thailand AP, AR and GL are consistently accurate, supported and error-free — owned end-to-end by this role.
• Month-end close is completed on time, with proper accruals and cut-off.
• Accounts Receivable and claimbacks are current, well-tracked and reconciled — nothing left to drift.
• The COE Thailand team is well-led, with quality issues caught before they reach country finance or audit.
• The Acct & Tax Manager / Head of Finance TH can rely on transactional data being complete when forming statutory positions and signing the audited FS — without needing to chase COE.
• A smooth, low-friction working relationship between Thailand, the COE and the business.
