Annual Salary range: $ 75,000.00 - $ 80,000.00


The Assistant Facilities Manager supports the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer in maintaining the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and building systems. This role helps ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for guests and team members by overseeing preventive maintenance, repairs, safety compliance, and daily engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the oversight of daily engineering and maintenance operations.
  • Support hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of maintenance staff.
  • Perform and coordinate repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Conduct facility inspections and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Support Fire, Life, and Safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to obtain bids and oversee maintenance projects.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Respond to guest concerns and resolve maintenance-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty program and assist during emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of facilities, maintenance, engineering, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate records.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and occasionally move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools and wear required PPE.
