The Assistant Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with the constant readiness of the electrical, mechanical, and environmental systems which service all Department of Public Safety (DPS) buildings, sites, and facilities, including, but not limited to, the 9-1-1 Communications Center, Backup 9-1-1 facility, and 30 remote 9-1-1 tower sites throughout the County.

If received, emergency assignments may be performed under adverse conditions and continue for periods ranging from a few hours to several weeks.”
