DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

Assistant Executive Officer (25260793)

The Department of Mathematics is now seeking a highly motivated person to provide administrative support to the Department.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with programme administration and student-related matters;
• Assist with programme admissions;
• Assist with coordinating and organising activities/events hosted by the Programmes and the Department;
• Assist with administrative support to the Programmes and the Department; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A recognised bachelor’s degree plus at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a recent master’s degree graduate;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility;
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and in a team; and
• Proficiency in common office applications, such as MS Office including Chinese document processing.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
