What You’ll Be Doing

As an Assistant Engineering Manager, you will support the Engineering Department by coordinating contractors, managing purchasing and supplies through BirchStreet, assisting with payroll, and maintaining consistent administrative operations. This role also helps supervise the engineering team and ensures the hotel’s facilities are properly maintained and presentation that define the Renaissance experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors, including scheduling and overseeing work
  • Order supplies and manage inventory using BirchStreet, ensuring proper stock levels and cost control
  • Assist with payroll processing, including timesheet review and submission
  • Maintain organized records, reports, and administrative documentation
  • Supervise engineering staff, assign daily tasks, and support team performance
  • Help ensure completion of maintenance requests and preventive maintenance programs
  • Uphold safety standards and hotel policies within the department

What Is Required

  • Experience in hotel engineering, maintenance, or facilities management
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Familiarity with BirchStreet or similar procurement systems
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
