Join our team as a key support professional, assisting engineers with administrative, graphics, and technical tasks. You’ll use a variety of software, conduct field work, and help create solutions for our electrical distribution system. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative, graphics, and technical support to engineers.
  • Utilize computer programs and software to design distribution system lines.
  • Conduct field work, including site visits, job staking, taking photos, and gathering information.
  • Develop designs and solve problems for the electrical distribution system.
  • Communicate with customers, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Update records accurately and manage project budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards, including proper documentation and estimates.
  • Support regulatory compliance and permitting for design plans.
  • Optimize equipment and system utilization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent PLUS course work in accounting, computers, electricity, drafting, or related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • No experience required; related experience desired.
    • Related experience may include previous work at a utility or project management.
    • Familiarity to the area and community involvement is desired.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Strong performance and communication skills needed to build productive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Must be able to work both in the office and in the field year-round.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $23.60 – $28.80. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
