To deliver best practice in building physics and performance modelling throughout the business, we are now looking for an fresher or experienced and enthusiastic Building Physicist to join our dynamic Building Performance India team and contribute to our energy modelling work within the Building Advisory & Consultancy Service line across the UK.

We are looking for a young, talented, enthusiastic individual with experience of geometry building in IES, Heat load calculations , compliance with Part L and other relevant regulations at all RIBA stages through proficient usage of IES and SAP software and delivering autonomous project work to support the team.

Our Building Performance team across the UK have a strong focus on technical delivery and an excellent
understanding of client care, focused on Low and Net Zero Carbon building design. You will be an
important part of a close-knit team working on a wide variety of projects across the UK and internationally.

Key attributes and responsibilities
• Carry out dynamic thermal and energy modelling in IES-VE to evaluate energy use, internal
conditions and compliance with UK regulations and standards.
• Perform overheating risk assessments and adaptive thermal comfort analysis using CIBSE
TM52/TM59, ASHRAE or equivalent methodologies
• Produce airtightness and thermal bridge advice, support U-value and psi-value calculations, and
input to SAP/SBEM where required
• Conduct daylighting and glare analysis and advise on façade and shading strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, design guidance, compliance documentation and client presentations.
• Demonstrate an awareness of the financial implications of delivering projects in a timely manner
and ensure clear communication regarding ongoing project status
• Be able to work autonomously using your own initiative, demonstrate good attention to detail
and show pride in the work produced whilst ensuring the same mentality is encouraged
throughout the team
• Have a good knowledge of passive design, LZC technologies and various ‘net zero’ standards,
and use this to influence all aspects of building design
• Have a keen interest in or experience using digital and parametric design tools, coding, working
in Rhino/Grasshopper, understanding relevant programming languages and a desire to further
digital innovation.

• A degree in Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
• At least 1-3 years’ experience working as a professional in a similar UK based role
• Have proven experience in delivering all aspects of building physics, including building energy modelling and compliance analysis using IES and SAP
• Strong practical knowledge of UK building regulations and guidance (Part L, F, B, Building Regulations compliance procedures), CIBSE guides and TM52/TM59.
• Proficiency with one or more dynamic simulation tools i.e. IES-VE, and familiarity with daylighting tools (Radiance, DIALux) and modelling workflows.
• Good understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and renewable technologies and how they affect building performance.
