Job Description

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain AI-enabled applications and software systems.
• Develop AI agents, Generative AI applications, LLM-based solutions, and RAG systems.
• Build front-end and back-end components for AI products and internal platforms.
• Integrate AI models and APIs into enterprise applications and workflows.
• Support business analysis activities, including user requirement gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and preparation of functional specifications for AI and digital transformation project.
• Translate business needs into clear solution requirements and work closely with technical teams to ensure deliverables meet user expectations and project objectives.
• Conduct data preparation, processing, and exploratory analysis to support AI projects
• Work with AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency, software quality, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, testing, documentation, and project demonstrations.
• Research emerging AI technologies and contribute innovative ideas to project development.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, STEM or a related discipline, or Diploma/High Diploma with 2 years of working experiences.
• Strong programming skills in Python or equivalent.
• Knowledge of modern front-end development frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, APIs, databases, and application architecture.
• Experience in AI-assisted software development workflows, including prompt engineering, code generation, debugging, testing, and documentation using modern AI coding assistants.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, machine learning, or deep learning concepts is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Git, Docker, Linux, and cloud technologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about leveraging AI to solve real-world business and industrial challenges.
• Good command of English and Chinese
• Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred

2.This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the position when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
