Basic Functions

The Electrician Assistant works directly with the electric shop supervisor on a daily basis and with the assistant director as need arises to assure that all university electrical systems operate at the highest efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One year of previous and directly related experience

Licensure & Certifications: Current Kentucky Drivers License

Job Duties:

• 10% - Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University. - ()
• 60% - Assists Electrician or Master electricians in performing routine maintenance on University electrical systems - (Essential)
• 10% - Leads Laborers in performing routine maintenance on university electrical equipment as required by established procedures. - (Essential)
• 10% - Assists in inventory control of required repair parts and tools as outlined in established procedures. - (Essential)
• 10% - Assists in time keeping, blueprint takeoffs, material lists and acquisition as required. - (Essential)
