Job Description

About the role:

The Assistant Distribution Centre Manager supports the overall management of the Distribution Centre by ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse and logistics operations. The role is responsible for daily execution of inbound, outbound, inventory, value-added services (VAS), transportation coordination, facility management, and people development.

This position acts as the deputy to the DC Manager and leads operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, service level, inventory accuracy, safety performance, employee engagement, and sustainability outcomes.

Distribution Centre Operations

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse operations covering Receiving, Put-away, Storage, Picking, Packing, VAS, Dispatch, Returns, and Reverse Logistics.
  • Ensure operational activities are executed accurately and within agreed service levels.
  • Monitor volume forecasts and resources to support business requirements and peak periods.
  • Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure warehouse processes comply with global and local operating standards.

Inventory Management & Control

  • Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle count and stock reconciliation programs.
  • Monitor inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Review stock aging, damaged stock, and exception reports.
  • Maintain inventory integrity across WMS and other business systems.
  • Support audit activities and compliance reviews.

Transportation & Logistics Management

  • Oversee local transportation performance and service providers.
  • Monitor delivery performance to boutiques, POS, e-commerce, and business partners.
  • Manage transportation capacity, escalation processes, and contingency planning.
  • Support logistics cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality.

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health & safety requirements.
  • Lead safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure warehouse security controls are effectively implemented.
  • Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, customs, and company requirements.
  • Champion the "We Never Compromise on Safety" culture.

Facility & Asset Management

  • Oversee warehouse infrastructure, maintenance, utilities, environmental controls, and equipment.
  • Ensure all warehouse assets are maintained in safe and effective operating condition.
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs and external service providers.
  • Support business continuity and emergency response planning.

Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility

  • Drive DC sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, recycling, circularity programs, and energy efficiency.
  • Monitor environmental KPIs and support corporate sustainability objectives.
  • Engage teams and vendors in sustainability improvement programs.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and operations teams.
  • Build succession plans and capability development programs.
  • Foster engagement, well-being, teamwork, and psychological safety.
  • Promote cross-functional learning and career development opportunities.
  • Support resource planning, performance discussions, and workforce optimization.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Support DC budget preparation and cost management.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare management reports on service level, inventory, productivity, safety, and cost performance.
  • Drive operational excellence projects to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution centre operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory management, and transportation coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and logistics best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience driving operational excellence, process improvement, automation, or productivity enhancement initiatives.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing operational teams.
  • Performance-driven mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Good understanding of inventory control, safety, compliance, and warehouse operational standards.
  • Experience in luxury retail, FMCG, fashion, e-commerce, or high-volume distribution environments is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
