This position will be on a Hybrid schedule with 3-4 days per week in the Culver City, CAoffice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepareandreviewcorporate, stateandpartnershiptax returnsfortheSonyPicturesSegment

  • Prepareandreviewquarterly and annual income tax provisioncalculationin accordance withIAS 12;computation of book to tax differences;tracking of deferred taxes inventory;tax accountanalysis andreconciliations;assist witheffective tax ratereconciliation and other analysis of income tax amounts including preparationof tax-related journal entries for SonyPicturesSegment

  • Compute andmaintainvariousFederal and statetax attributes schedules

  • Understand IFRIC23(FIN48) Positions, update and analyze the impact ofIFRIC23(FIN48) reserves to the Company’s US federal tax attributes

  • Prepare tax forecast,budget,and cash flowfor SonyPicturesSegment

  • Analyze and support on matters related to US international considerations including foreign-source income, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits and withholding taxes

  • Compilesub-consolidatedtax return workpapersas well asincometax packages,elections,anddisclosuresfor SonyPicturesentities

  • Work closely with the accounting, finance, and legal teams at Sony Pictures on tax-related matters

  • Monitor U.S. taxdevelopmentsand related internationalrulesimpactingUS filings, including OECD BEPS/Pillar Twotoassessimpacts on thebusiness andassistwithrelated reportingrequirements

  • Assistwithconsolidated/combinedFederal/Statefiling audits; handlingof allstandalone Federal/State audits

  • Identifyand supportprocessimprovementinitiatives withinthetax provisionand complianceoperationstoenhanceefficiencythroughtheimplementation ofinnovative solutionsand collaborationwith other tax specialty groups

  • Proactively manage andmaintainprovision and compliance deadlines

  • Assistin special tax projects as needed

  • Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above

QUALIFICATIONS

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Bachelor’sdegreein accountingor related field isrequiredCPAand/or Masters in Tax preferred

  • Minimum of 10-12yearsof progressive experience incorporate tax accounting, compliance, and/or tax provision preparation, preferably in a large multinational companyand/ora public accounting firm

  • Comprehensiveknowledgeand technical competence in book-to-tax accounting, as well asfederal andstateincometax conceptsapplicable tomultinational organizations, isessential

  • Knowledge of IFRS a plus

  • Detail orientedwith stronganalytical skills andprovencapabilityto prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven dynamic environment

  • ProficiencyinMicrosoft OfficeSuite,CorpTaxcompliance softwareand OneSource Tax Provisionrequired

  • Experience within theEntertainment industry preferred

  • Working knowledge of BPC/SAPpreferred

  • Mustbe authorized towork unrestricted within the United States

Theanticipatedannual base salary for this position is $175,000 to $190,000.In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of 17%.Thisrange does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
