
As a part of the Ingram Center for Student-Athlete Success, the Assistant Director of Student Services is a member of the Student Services team and will report directly to the Director of Student Services. The primary focus of the Assistant Director of Student Services is to monitor the academic progress of student-athletes for assigned sports. In addition, the Assistant Director of Student Services will be expected to provide student-athletes with academic counseling and support services, refer student-athletes to campus resources and monitor study halls/tutorial services.

The university fields 17 varsity teams (6 men's teams and 11 women's teams, a total of 375 student athletes), 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
a. Meet regularly with assigned caseload, including weekly meetings with first-year student-athletes as well as those in danger of not meeting good academic standing
b. Report academic progress to coaches and sport administrators
c. Check classes for attendance
a. Serve as a sounding board for student-athletes to help them deal with issues surrounding the transition from home life to college
athletic events, medical procedures or illnesses, deaths in the family or other
extenuating circumstances that may constitute a missed class
a. Serve as a resource to professors if problems arise regarding a student-athlete in
which they would like our assistance
