Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Director of Sales to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will partner with the Director of Sales to drive revenue growth, expand our client base, and establish our organization as a market leader. You will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, leading sales initiatives while mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative, innovative sales culture.   • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with organizational goals and market opportunities across all business segments
  • Lead and mentor sales team members, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to maximize individual and team productivity
  • Identify emerging business trends, market opportunities, and competitive insights to inform strategic recommendations and drive continuous business improvement
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts while actively prospecting and developing new business opportunities that expand our client base and revenue streams
  • Develop and present detailed sales proposals and action plans to the Director of Sales on a monthly and quarterly basis, supported by thorough market analysis and financial projections
  • Oversee pricing strategies and budget allocation in collaboration with the revenue management team, providing clear rationale and data-driven analysis throughout the operating year
  • Organize and execute strategic sales trips and client familiarization events, ensuring effective relationship building and opportunity identification in target markets
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with government authorities, tourism boards, and industry stakeholders to enhance organizational visibility and identify commercial opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, revenue targets, and key performance indicators to track progress against goals and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Participate actively in industry forums, trade shows, and business functions as a company spokesperson, representing the organization and promoting our brand positioning
  • Oversee online distribution channels and manage relationships with third-party partners and online travel agencies to optimize market reach and revenue generation
  • Support the events and operations teams by identifying synergies, monitoring performance, and incorporating business development opportunities into overall organizational strategy
  • Contribute to the recruitment and screening of new sales associates, ensuring alignment with team culture and performance standards
  • Practice professional account qualification consistently, evaluating client needs, budget parameters, space requirements, and competitive positioning to maximize sales effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Sales, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales management or assistant director capacity, or minimum 3 years of progressive experience in sales, account management, or business development
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals through strategic planning and execution
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software platforms
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budget management, and revenue forecasting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail and data-driven decision-making
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members in a collaborative environment
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Proficiency in market analysis, competitive positioning, and sales forecasting methodologies
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and oral communication); additional language proficiency is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as required for business development and client relationship management
