• Take full accountability in pricing grids and budget setting of the resort providing rationale
statistics analysis supported by the revenue manager throughout the operating year
• Identify business trends and marketing opportunities that can improve the hotel’s performance.
• Continuously solicit for new business that expands client base using action plans focused on the market segment and set forth proposals to the Director of Sales monthly and quarterly.
• Prospecting and growing an account list, handling incoming leads and closing sales that covers all segments of the resort but in focus on MICE,
• Plan, execute and follow-up on sales trips as suggested based on resort needs and new markets focus prior to approval.
• Work closely with other sales associates at resort level and remote based in Ho Chi Minh & Hanoi, calling in on important customers, and establishing multiple levels of contacts within the customer’s organization.
• Be the principal contact with Phu Quoc Tourism and government authorities. Grow synergies and profiling of the resort and identify commercial impact opportunities that will provide exposure and business opportunities to the resort.
• Monitor opportunities for community involvement and strive to maintain high profile of the resort within the hospitality sector
• Represent the resort along with the Director of Sales as a spokesperson in industry forums and seize every opportunity to highlight the resort in international initiatives of Danang Tourism
• Participate in the sales meetings by sharing latest market trends and new business development opportunities and activities.
• Fully support the Events team resort based monitor opportunities and performance and incorporate in the overall business development
• Be involved in screening of new associates as required
• Practice professional account qualification on a consistent basis (i.e., measure budget needs, date flexibility, space requirement, competitive information etc).
• Attend tradeshows, travel functions, major business functions or as required/ with or as directed by the Director of Sales
• Oversee with the revenue manager online distribution direct and indirect channels and handle all relationships with OTA’s.
• Organizes familiarization of hotels and their facilities with clients and potential ones. Review and monitor all requests from the entire sales team
• Responsible for an assigned sales target in accordance to Cluster segmentation - Work closely with each salesperson, identify opportunities and ways to maximize and exceed personal, and team revenue goals.
• Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity or minimum 3 years of experience in the area of guest services/tele-marketing
• High degree of professionalism with strong understanding of business acumen
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant financial and accounting reporting systems
