Job Description

Novotel Samator Surabaya Timur is conveniently located 20 minutes away by car from Juanda International Airport through the highway and close distance to the industrial area, culinary section well-known universities, shopping center, and other city attractions. Featuring 264 rooms with suites, accompanied by In Balance gym-spa & sauna, a Food Exchange restaurant, The Heritage restaurant, Parigie Coffee and Pastry, and Damsole Pool Bar offers wide National and International culinary selections for the social dining experience. The 700 sqm Grand Ballroom and 15 functional meeting rooms are available to cater to the meeting and social event needs. Large adaptable basement parking area of up to 450 cars

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist the Director of Sales in preparing and executing annual sales goals; develop comprehensive working plans to achieve objectives, monitor actual performance against targets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Recommend and implement strategic promotions and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Coordinate all methods and strategies to maintain and increase business volume while optimizing profitability.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork orientation and provide outstanding leadership to sales team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales team members; conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance individual and team productivity.
  • Manage client relationships and account portfolios; identify opportunities for account expansion and customer retention.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance departments to align sales strategies with organizational objectives and ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats within the industry.
  • Manage sales budgets and forecasts; monitor expenses and ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Fluent in English and the national language
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the same position within a midscale international business hotel or comparable hospitality organization
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate sales teams in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Strong proficiency in sales performance analysis, metrics tracking, and reporting
  • Experience managing sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
  • Proven track record in recruiting, training, and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Expertise in client relationship management and account portfolio development

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience conducting competitive analysis and market research within the hospitality industry
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments (marketing, operations, finance)
  • Background in implementing strategic promotions and marketing initiatives
  • Experience with sales management software and CRM systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
